Hans Van Gompel obtained his law degree at KU Leuven. He specialized in international business law at the University of Paris V (D.E.S.S. Juriste d’Affaires Internationales).

Hans started his career at Loeff Claeys Verbeke (now: Allen & Overy) in Brussels. He is a member of the editorial board of Limburgs Rechtsleven and deputy judge in the corporate courts of Hasselt and Tongeren.

Hans is the author of numerous publications and regularly gives seminars on topics within his area of expertise.

As a recognized mediator, Hans has a special interest in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolutions). He focuses on resolving commercial and corporate disputes. He is also regularly involved in arbitral proceedings, both as counsel for one of the parties and as a member of the arbitral panel.
